Collaborative Approach

Bright Path strives to support productive, student-centered collaboration between families and school teams. Advocacy services focus on helping families understand the special education process, review documentation, prepare for meetings, and participate confidently in educational decision-making.

Confidentiality

All information shared with Bright Path is treated as confidential. Student records, family information, and documentation provided for consultation purposes are used only to support advocacy services and are not shared without permission, except when required by law.

Scope of Services

Advocacy services may include reviewing educational documentation, preparing families for school meetings, attending meetings when requested, providing behavior consulting guidance, and helping families understand federal regulations, procedural safeguards, and Oklahoma special education policies and procedures.

Parent Participation

Parent involvement is essential to the advocacy process. Families remain the primary decision-makers and representatives for their child, while Bright Path provides guidance and support throughout the process.
