At Bright Path, we work collaboratively with families to bring clarity, strategy, and confidence to the special education process. Whether you need guidance for one meeting or ongoing support throughout the school year, services are tailored to meet your child’s unique needs.

Special Education Consultation and Advocacy Guidance

Bright Path Special Education Advocacy and IEP Support Services provides consultation, advocacy guidance, and individualized student support designed to help families better understand and navigate the special education process.

Services support families who may have questions or concerns related to evaluations, IEP development, school communication, academic progress, behavior, and access to appropriate educational supports.

Support may include helping families understand school documentation, prepare for meetings, communicate concerns effectively with school teams, and navigate decisions related to their child’s educational plan.

Support for Reading Development and Dyslexia Concerns

Bright Path also supports families who have concerns related to reading development, literacy skills, and possible indicators of dyslexia or other language-based learning differences.

Many families recognize early challenges with phonics, decoding, reading fluency, or spelling but may be unsure how to communicate these concerns or request appropriate evaluations.

Services may include helping families understand literacy-related concerns, reviewing school documentation or evaluation results, and supporting families in framing questions and requests using language that aligns with educational evaluation processes. This can help ensure that concerns related to reading development are clearly communicated and appropriately considered by school teams.

Academic and Behavior Support for Students

In addition to parent guidance and advocacy services, Bright Path provides individualized academic and behavior support for students who may benefit from strengthening foundational learning skills, executive functioning, emotional regulation, and school-related routines.

Academic support may include strengthening basic reading skills such as phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension, as well as supporting written expression, organization, and study strategies.

Sessions may also focus on executive functioning skills, behavior and self-regulation strategies, and adaptive learning habits that support student success in the school environment.

Supporting Skill Development Between Home and School

Tutoring and student support sessions may also help families understand how to reinforce learning strategies at home, allowing skills to carry over between home and school environments.

Modeling strategies for parents can help families feel more confident supporting their child’s learning and routines outside of the classroom.

Service Delivery Options

Services may be delivered virtually or in person. In-person sessions may take place in public shared learning spaces such as libraries or community locations, or in the family home when appropriate.

Professional Scope of Services

All services provided by Bright Path are educational and supportive in nature. These services are intended to supplement school-based instruction and supports but are not a replacement for school services, therapy, or clinical interventions required under a student’s IEP or 504 plan.

Bright Path does not provide legal representation, therapy services, or clinical diagnosis.

Support Beyond the Classroom

We help families access supports beyond the school setting. This includes guidance for private evaluations and therapies — speech, occupational therapy, physical therapy, ABA, counseling, and behavioral services — as well as assistance navigating programs like TEFRA (Katie Beckett) and other community or state-based resources.

Our goal is to help families connect the dots between school, medical, and community services so your child’s supports work together instead of operating in isolation.
